The Bandhani She Keeps Coming Back For

A patron's experience of wearing Bandhani dress materials over eight years

We are grateful for the many people who have stayed with CHAKOR over the years, and Gouthami Pendyala is one of those patrons we are especially happy to have known.

She first discovered our Bandhani collections through Jaypore.com in 2018. Eight years later, she continues to choose Bandhani dress materials from CHAKOR, in different colours and designs.

When our own online store went live, she began shopping with us directly. Her first order from the website, in 2024, was for eight Bandhani dress materials.

We asked her what she likes about the fabric.

“It's very comfortable and unique.”

We also asked about the first pieces she bought and how they have held up after years of wearing and washing.

“Frequently I will wash and I am wearing the suits from 8 years, but still it's the same. No colour fading.”

When we asked if she has had any problem with the fabric:

“No problem with the fabric. It's still the same.”

She particularly likes the comfort and quality of the cotton, as well as the length and width of the dupattas.

Over the years, she has continued to buy Bandhani dress materials in different colours and designs. 

“Till now from 8 years to 2026, I have purchased 30 pairs.”

We also asked what happens when she wears them.

“Whenever I am wearing the dress they usually asking me where do you purchase.”

She says people notice the quality and texture, and sometimes ask if the dress is expensive.

We asked if the price is a concern.

“I don't have problem with the price, because you are using good quality of fabric.”

Eight years later, Gouthami is still choosing Bandhani dress materials from CHAKOR. We are grateful to have been part of her wardrobe for all these years.
