CHAKOR is the craft-led textile label, and TheChakorShop.com is our official online store. Our work is also featured on respected platforms such as Jaypore, Parisera and Avishya, where our handcrafted collections are showcased.

Do you offer customisation for Bandhani or other crafts?

No, we do not offer customisation, as each handcrafted piece follows traditional processes and artisan-led techniques that are time-consuming and not suited for made-to-order variations.

We collaborate with skilled weavers and artisans across craft-rich regions including Kutch, Rajkot, Patan (Gujarat) Chanderi (Madhya Pradesh), Champa (Chhattisgarh) T, Mangalgiri (Andhra Pradesh) and Murshidabad (West Bengal) bringing diverse traditional techniques together under one curated collection.

What fabrics do you use across CHAKOR’s handcrafted collections?

We work with pure silks, cottons and traditional handwoven textiles, as well as select cotton-viscose blend and modal. Regardless of the base fabric, all dyeing, Bandhani, Ajrakh and craft processes are entirely handcrafted by skilled artisans.

Are CHAKOR’s handcrafted pieces produced in limited quantities?

Yes, each of our signature collections is crafted in limited quantities, respecting the natural pace of handmade work. This approach preserves the individuality of every piece and keeps its exclusivity intact.

Are the colours and patterns consistent across handcrafted pieces?

Artisan-made textiles inherently display natural variations in tying, dye absorption, and handwork—hallmarks of authentic craftsmanship.
Rather than imperfections, these subtle distinctions imbue each piece with singular character while faithfully honoring the original design vision.

Are slight irregularities a defect in handcrafted textiles?

No. Minor variations in weave, dye or pattern are inherent to handmade processes and reflect the authenticity and character of artisan-crafted textiles.

Do all handcrafted pieces look exactly like their photos online

Minor differences in colour and texture may occur due to handcrafting and device screens, but every piece is photographed and described to closely as possible to reflect its true appearance.

Are Bandhani sarees and dupattas colourfast?

Yes. Our Bandhani pieces are dyed by skilled artisans using processes that ensure strong colour retention; mild colour release on the first wash is natural for handcrafted textiles and does not affect long-term vibrancy.

How should I care for handcrafted textiles from CHAKOR?

Dry-cleaning is recommended for silks and delicate weaves, while gentle hand-wash may be suitable for select cottons as per each product’s care note. Avoid harsh detergents, wringing and direct sunlight to preserve colour and texture.

Do CHAKOR’s handcrafted textiles require special storage?

Store them in a cool, dry space away from direct sunlight; silks are best wrapped in muslin to help the fabric breathe. Avoid plastic covers to prevent moisture buildup and preserve the textile’s natural texture and colour.

Do you offer blouse stitching or tailoring services?

We do not offer stitching services. All sarees and fabrics are supplied with unstitched blouse material so you may style them as per your personal choice
with your preferred tailor.

Are CHAKOR products restocked once sold out?

Most pieces are created in limited batches and may not return once sold out; select designs may be restocked based on artisan availability and craft timelines.

Do you ship within India and internationally?

Yes. We ship Pan-India and offer international delivery to select countries; shipping options will appear at checkout based on your location.

What are the shipping charges for India and international orders?

We offer free Pan-India shipping on orders above ₹3,500 and charge ₹250 for orders below this value.
International shipping rates are shown at checkout, and any duties, taxes or customs-related fees applicable in your country are payable by the customer at the time of delivery.

How long will my order take to be delivered?

Domestic orders are dispatched within max 3-4 working days. Delivery within India usually takes 3–7 days after dispatch.

International order are processed within 8-9 working days & timelines vary by destination, they might typically take 10–20 business days depending on destination and customs clearance.

Can I check the product before accepting the delivery?

We do not offer open delivery. If you are not satisfied after receiving the product, you may request an exchange as per the item’s Exchange Policy

Why did I receive only part of my order?

Your order may arrive in separate shipments if items have different dispatch timelines, require additional finishing, or are ready at different times. You will receive updates for each shipment - please keep an eye on WhatsApp messages from our official number

Can I add more items after placing the order?

Once an order is placed, changes cannot be made from your end. You may contact us immediately and we will assist if the order has not yet been processed.

What should I do if I miss the delivery?

Our courier partners attempt delivery up to two times. If you miss a delivery, they will automatically reattempt and may contact you to confirm a suitable time. You will also receive WhatsApp updates on the status of your shipment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major domestic debit/credit cards, UPI, Net Banking, and popular digital wallets. EMI options may appear at checkout based on your payment provider.
For international payments, we accept all major credit cards.

Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?

Yes. COD is available for orders up to ₹45,000 with a 10% advance to confirm your order. The remaining amount is payable in cash at the time of delivery. You may view full details on our COD information page.

Why is a 10% advance required for COD orders?

The advance helps us reserve your selected piece, as most items are handcrafted in limited quantities & to verify genuine orders.
It also ensures smooth, secure delivery and reduces the risk of failed or refused COD shipments.

Are online payments secure on TheChakorShop.com?

Yes. All online transactions are processed through secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways, ensuring your card and UPI details remain encrypted and protected.

My payment failed—what should I do?

If your payment doesn’t go through, please retry after a few minutes or use another payment method.
If the amount was debited, it will be automatically reversed by your bank. For assistance, you may contact us on WhatsApp Support.

Can I change my payment method after placing the order?

Payment methods cannot be changed once an order is placed. If you need help, please contact us immediately; we can guide you on the best way forward before the order is processed.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds FAQs

Do you accept returns or exchanges on handcrafted products?

Yes — only if the item is wrongly delivered, damaged in transit, or has a genuine manufacturing defect. Returns or exchanges are not accepted for change of mind, colour variations, or natural handmade differences.

What items are eligible for return or exchange?

  • Returns or exchanges are accepted only if the item is wrongly delivered, damaged in transit, or has a genuine manufacturing defect.
  • Products must be unused, unwashed, unaltered, and returned with original CHAKOR packaging, tags, and invoice.
  • Pieces with fall & edging, roll-pressing, tassels, customised orders, sale/discount items, or colour/handmade variations are not eligible.
  • Sale items and discounted products are not eligible for return or exchange unless damaged or incorrectly delivered.

What is the time window to request a return or exchange?

Return or exchange requests must be raised within 24 hours of delivery. Requests made after this window cannot be accepted.

How do I request a return or exchange?

Please email chakor.info@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 99742 42561 within 24 hours of delivery with your order number, full name, and clear photos (only if reporting damage/defect).
Our team will respond within 2 working days with next steps and the return address (if applicable).

Who bears the return shipping cost?

Return shipping must be borne by the customer. CHAKOR covers the cost only when an item is wrongly delivered or damaged in transit.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are offered only when a product is wrongly delivered, damaged in transit, or has a genuine manufacturing defect.
Approved refunds are issued after quality check and include a deduction of a 3% transaction fees and ₹250 shipping & handling, plus return shipping at the customer's cost.

Do you offer credit notes, and how long are they valid?

Yes. If you choose a credit note instead of a refund or exchange, it will be issued after the returned product clears quality check and will remain valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
Credit notes can be used toward any future purchase on TheChakorShop.com.

What if I receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product?

Please inform us within 24 hours of delivery at chakor.info@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 99742 42561 with your order number and clear photos of the issue. Approved cases will qualify for a refund or exchange as per our Policy.


Do you accept returns or exchanges for international orders?
