Enhanced with the classic bandhani Baavan baag or Baavan Bhaat, meaning 52 sections or gardens, each segment showcases distinctive geometric or floral motifs, differing from its neighbouring sections. The intricate hand tie-dye in ivory bandhani dots, imparts a unique freshness and charm to the overall appearance. Crafted from fine mul mul cotton, this dupatta is a labor-intensive piece, with an impressive 6000-8000 bandhani dots, taking approximately 2-3 months for a single piece to be completed. Accented with delicate cotton thread tassels.

  • First wash recommended is Dry Clean
  • Later these can be hand washed separately with mild shampoo ( no detergent )
  • Dry in shade
  • Keep in cool and dry place, away from sunlight, moisture
  • If needed, Iron on low to medium heat setting, do not iron directly on embroidery

Good to know

  • This Bandhani product has been tie-dyed using the traditional technique. Since it is a handcrafted product, it might have certain irregularities that add to its unique charm and cannot be termed as defects
  • This product needs to be ironed to flatten the Bandhani knots and achieve the full length and width
  • Saree needs to be roll ironed, in order to achieve full height and neat pleats on wearing. In silks, one can opt to retain the crush effect of tie-dye, only until its first professional dry-wash
  • Dupatta need not be ironed if you desire to maintain the natural crush effect of tie-dye
